Be careful what you wish for, you might get it.

JUST ONE MORE WISH

romantic comedy

Julie’s ordinary life as a music manager takes a dramatic turn when a mysterious notebook comes into her possession—one that allows her to erase anything from the world. When a workplace conflict traps her, her only way out is to turn an unknown band into a hit. She begins using the notebook, making increasingly extreme wishes...

JUST ONE MORE WISH explores questions of desire and consequence through a magically realistic romantic comedy—in which every wish comes at a price.

I wanted to talk—with humor, and yes, with a touch of pain—about the inner struggles we all face when we have to let go of our past, our excuses or the responsibility we tend to place on others. I believe this moment comes to everyone at some point in their life. This film tells the story of a young woman, Juli, who is going through exactly this process. Many people live in this „in-between space”, no longer young, yet not quite an adult. Perhaps it can help if people recognize themselves in Juli – or at least laugh and cry alongside her. Through the framework of comedy, it is possible to reach the audience in a deeper and more direct level. Laughter doesn’t just relieve tension, it opens people up, leading to realizations that might otherwise be met with resistance.

Well-written and well-executed comedies have always been the biggest box-office successes, because while people may be preoccupied with countless concerns, we are all inclined to believe that only one wish or one opportunity separates us from the wonderful life we long for – "what if we could actually have it?". Megafilm has always aimed to earn the audience’s appreciation, and for me, true success means audience success. That is why it is a particular joy to embark on an entertaining genre film. Yet its message is a serious one: "Don’t blame the world when something in your life doesn’t work out.".

Cast

JULIE – main protagonist, imaginative force who — almost — thrives in chaos.

Mariann HERMÁNYI

Since childhood she has known what she wants: work with bands. She is drawn to the BTS work – management and touring. She thrives in that creative chaos where no two days are alike and where something functional has to be assembled out of nothing in an instant. Julie is talented and quick-witted, impressing everyone around her – she comes up with brilliant ideas but whenever possible she leaves the execution to others.

CHARLES – love interest, perfectionist band leader.

Gellért L. KÁDÁR

The lead singer of the band Dead Flamingos, he refuses to compromise. A perfectionist and the driving force of the band. He would rather take control when things aren’t going well than ask for a favor. He firmly believes that hard work eventually pays off.

MILAN – a relentlessly hardworking self-starter—but Juli hates him.

T. Danny

Ambitious and career-driven, the polar opposite of Julie, he works for every single moment. He performs as well as he sells himself while making it look effortless – though no one sees how much energy he actually puts in. He has little respect for those to whom everything comes easily.
